Support and Guidance
Whilst at Dereham Sixth Form you have a number of ways to seek support and guidance. It is important that you make use of these people and resources no matter how small or large you think your problem may be. The staff at Dereham Sixth Form are here to help you complete your courses to the best of your ability and will always look to help.
You tutor can discuss issues you may be having and offer guidance or point you in the right direction. Also, Ms O’Grady and Mr Smith are available to help.
Support
We have a counsellor, Sonya Dunsden, who spends one day in College every week. Should you wish to meet with her you can either see Mr Smith or see the support notice board for her email address. She will organise appointments with you directly and in confidence.
Guidance
Sometimes students may feel a little demotivated or feel that they lack the organisation to complete all of their work. Occasionally you may feel like you just need a little bit of guidance or coaching to help you get back on track. Martin Woods is our resident life coach and has helped many students with getting back on track. Martin spends one day a week in College and should you wish to meet him see Mr Smith or get his email address from the support notice board.
