Students are encouraged to take part in some of the extra curricular activities on offer to enrich their experience at the college.  The many choices available include:
 

ASTRONOMY CLUB 
Meetings are held weekly at the College and the club is run by Mr Cripps from Neatherd High School. 
All the equipment for viewing the stars at night is provided for you.                        
If you are interested in the stars and the universe - this is the one for you!

As part of the Health Schools initiative we offer a variety of
SPORTS ACTIVITIES



College membership at Dereham Sport & Leisure Centre allows us to use the facilities for £1  at certain times.  Free swim on Wednesdays
Body Combat classes every week
Football and cricket - depending on the season.  Rugby training


You can learn about Emergency Life Support training - find out how to save a life - you never know when you may need to use this valuable skill.
 


The
DEBATING SOCIETY meets 3 times per term to debate issues such as genetic engineering, fox hunting and other controversial subjects.  
Year 12 and Year 13 have separate debates either at lunchtime or during tutorial periods

Mr Forrest arranges the debates but the students are the vocal ones here!


The Languages Department run an INTERNATIONAL FILM CLUB to give students the opportunity to broaden their cinematic taste
Forthcoming screenings are advertised well in advance and usually take place during the lunchtime period.

Mr Elphick is an extremely experienced outdoor activities person and he runs the DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD SCHEME which can lead to the achievement of a Bronze, Silver or even Gold award.
Regular meetings and excursions take place to work towards this goal.  If this is the kind of active pursuit you would be interested in then join up to the scheme NOW!
