On Friday 10th November, we were lucky to have Hollie Hadwen from the University of Suffolk visit to talk to students about careers in diagnostic and therapeutic radiography. Hollie teaches at the Norfolk and Norwich, the Queen Elizabeth and a number of hospitals in Suffolk, as well as at the university.
I found the radiography talk both interesting and useful, as I gained an understanding of the career, giving me options that I could dip into in the future – eg I can refer to it when interviewed for other health courses. Although radiography isn’t my chosen line of work, it was extremely useful to gain background knowledge of such a life changing profession. Lilley, year 13.
Quotes from the Physics students:
It was really well planned and delivered in such an enthusiastic way it made it really easy to understand.
It was great to get a real perspective on the subject, from someone who actually does it in the real world.
