Drama & Theatre Studies Bridging Work

Back to all Bridging Work

Choosing Drama as one of my A Level choices has allowed me to meet a new group of people with the same interest as me and create bonds through working so closely together. The subject has given me a huge boost of confidence which I believe is down to all of the support the class has for each other. Many great opportunities have been given to me, such as going to watch shows that I wouldn’t have seen if I hadn’t taken the course. One thing I wish I had done earlier in Year 12 was to speak up! Drama is about teamwork and everyone should have an input, whether the idea is used or not – it may spark a new one!” – Jess

“Since I joined Dereham Sixth Form College I’ve had no regrets about choosing Drama. I have enjoyed being together with other students who share the same energy and enjoyment towards the subject. In particular, I have enjoyed learning about the wide variety of practitioners and texts to perform from. However, it isn’t just work within College as we are lucky to be involved in workshops and watch different productions at the theatre.” – Adam

“Drama has been one of my favourite subjects throughout my school years and Drama at Dereham Sixth Form College has increased my love for the subject. I am so glad I chose this subject at A Level because it has taught me so much about different styles of acting through the different practitioners we have studied in Year 12. I loved all the trips we went on this year and the workshop we did with Frantic Assembly.” – Maddie
