This summer National Book Tokens are running their big prize draw again, offering five schools the chance to win money for their libraries. Each winning school will receive £1,000 in National Book Tokens, plus one overall winner will also get £500 to help create a fun and welcoming space for all. If we were one of the five school winners I would involve students in selecting fiction, non-fiction and graphic novels to support reading for pleasure both in and away from their chosen subjects. If we were to also win the £500 I would look into how we could make the desk and study space more inviting to those students who find it intimidating, and/or develop a new comfortable reading corner. Again, with as much input from students as possible!

If we win you will also personally win a £100 National Book Token to spend in your favourite bookshop. The more entries Dereham Sixth Form College receives, the higher the chance we’ll win, so send this around your family and friends for extra entries! Only one entry per person is allowed and entrants must be aged 16 or over. The winners will be drawn randomly after Monday 31st July and announced in September.
