Year 11 CPLD Bridging Work
“I am pleased that I took CPLD because the content I’m learning is helping me to understand everything I need to know for the job that I want to do in the future – working in the childcare sector. I’ve enjoyed learning about all the different things children need to grow and develop healthily and happily. Some of these things I wouldn’t have thought of before beginning this course. If I had the chance to do anything differently it would be to make better use of lesson time so that I was less stressed when my teacher wasn’t on hand.” (Hannah)
Issues that affect young children are always in the media.
“Dereham school is praised for ‘rapidly improving’ … …”
Secret life of four year olds … …”Some are leaders. Some are mischievous. Others are more interested in buses and numbers than making friends.”
Born Naughty? Channel 4 investigates … …
“Parents keep children off school in test protest.”
Parent complains of a letter home wich identifies her child as overweight.
Choose an article, TV programme or film that focuses on an issue of interest to you and complete the following:
- Write an account in your own words of what the article/programme/film is about.
- Say what you learnt from it,
- Explain why you chose it.
Bring in your written account on the first teaching day in September.
