Year 11 Physics Enrichment Activities
Articles:
There are some fascinating articles online covering many aspects of physics such as: What is string theory? Could we ever go back in time? How does an artificial heart work? Can we control lightning? How does a fridge work? How does goal-line technology work? How do induction cookers work? Check out all the answers here.
Online General Physics Quizzes:
Below are sites that include some interesting physics quizzes.
Animations:
PHET animations are an amazing tool for developing self-experimentation and cementing the underlying physics concepts in the process. There are so many of them to use and you can set yourself a challenge of using secondary sources to find out about why things happen in the animations. Example: Use the first animation link below to build a few combination circuits. Check that the animations outcomes for each circuit confirm your understanding of voltages, current and resistance.
Some other favourite PHET animations are here, and they are all worth a look.
